Carlos Martins, MHA
President, Jupiter Medical Center Physician Group
Carlos Martins serves as President of the Jupiter Medical Center Physician Group (JMCPG), where he leads a dynamic and rapidly expanding multispecialty physician network at Jupiter Medical Center. In this capacity, he is responsible for advancing the strategic direction of the physician enterprise, driving sustainable service line growth, and fostering innovation in care delivery across the organization, with a strong emphasis on quality, safety, and the patient experience.
Mr. Martins brings more than 28 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience, distinguished by a strong track record in operational excellence, physician alignment, and organizational growth. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Baycare Health Partners, Inc., a Physician Hospital Organization and Accountable Care Organization serving four hospitals and over 100 medical practices in Springfield, Massachusetts. Prior to that, he held senior leadership positions with Trinity Health of New England, serving as Interim President and Vice President of Medical Groups and Provider Services in both Hartford, Connecticut, and Springfield, Massachusetts. Earlier in his career, he served as the inaugural Chief Operating Officer and subsequently President of RiverBend Medical Group, Inc. in Chicopee, Massachusetts, where he led one of Western Massachusetts’s largest and most respected private physician groups.
Mr. Martins holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from Saint Joseph’s College in Standish, Maine, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts. At the outset of his career, he held progressive clinical roles in diagnostic imaging, establishing a strong clinical foundation that supported his transition into healthcare leadership.
Aharon Sareli, MD
As Chief Clinical Officer, Dr. Aharon Sareli provides executive oversight for all clinical services at Jupiter Medical Center. In partnership with Carlos Martins, President of the Jupiter Medical Center Physician Group, he believes that quality care and patient safety serve as the founding principles of the physician group.
Dr. Sareli is triple board certified in Critical Care, Pulmonary Disease and Internal Medicine; he completed fellowships at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Sareli is widely published, with multiple peer-reviewed articles, and is an advocate for high-reliability healthcare delivery, patient safety, medical education, and clinical research.
He is a highly accomplished physician executive, previously serving in multiple leadership roles. Prior to his role at Jupiter Medical Center, Dr. Sareli served as Chief Medical Officer for Memorial Healthcare System in South Florida as well as Chief Physician Executive for the Memorial Physician Group.
His leadership philosophy is rooted in servant leadership, integrity, accountability, and leading by example— actively practicing critical care. Dr. Sareli’s priority is an ongoing focus on the provision of the highest levels of quality and safety at Jupiter Medical Center. As an ICU intensivist practicing at the bedside, Dr. Sareli partners with care delivery teams and functions as a patient and care provider advocate at the executive table. “No matter the baseline, continually striving for improvement is pivotal for achieving excellence,” says Dr. Sareli.
